" Siringet" Meaning the Endless plains of the serengeti Park "

In February, the Ndutu plains is where we will mainly concentrate our game drive, this the favourite resting place of the wildebeests with its rich short grass.  During this time most of the herds will be based around Ndutu and east towards Oldupai and as far east as the western outer slopes of the Ngorongoro crater.

The objective of the wildebeest is to settle around the rich grazing of the Ndutu area for the next few months. This is the best grazing in the Serengeti  eco-system. They will only leave this area when the grazing is depleted and their foals are ready to start moving west – around end of March -  as in between January and end of March each year  The rains causes new shoots making the areas very green – thus attacting these millions and millions of wilderbeests and zebras – where also there will be uncountable number of predators such as lions, hyienas, jackals and so on following closely the migration, picking off the weak and vulnerable; indeed this is an adventure.

There will be many chances also to spot the resident mammals and birds of the area- spotted hyenas, golden and silver – backed jackals, cori bustards, Thomson and grant gazelles may be spotted.

At the end of the journey across the plains, we arrive at the Serengeti serena safari  Lodge for two nights; that is  located in an area of the bush where you can experience living in the wild of Africa. Serengeti Serena as one of the properties on the list – with a spacious verandah in front of your room is furnished with comfortable safari chairs and tables - the perfect retreat for a relaxing moment watching a weaver bird building its nest in a nearby Acacia tree, African cape buffaloes grazing quietly only meters away, or simply relaxing and listening to the sounds of the African bush. Your bathroom is complete with a dressing table and is fully plumbed with washbasin, lavatory and showers – a new and often surprising interpretation of ‘safari in the Endless plain of the Serengeti’.

These two days will be spent exploring the grassy plains and woodlands in the areas of the  Serengeti and the Ndutu plains  -  tracking the massed herds of wildebeest and zebra, watching the birth of new calves, and seeking predators such as lion, cheetah and hyena on the hunt. The area also teems with other wildlife, including elephants, eland, various gazelle species, Kirk’s dik-dik, giraffe and, if we’re lucky, the elusive leopard.  Dinner and Nights at  SERONERA WILDLIFE LODGE  and  -  Ndutu Safari Lodge  - FB

In this day you will depart from the hotel very early in the morning just after having taken a cup of coffee ready to descend into the ngorongoro crater  for your early gamedrive. The main feature of the NCAA  is the Ngorongoro Crater, a large, unbroken and  unflooded volcanic caldera.

There we will have a full day game drive,  as  there will be a packed  lunch in the Crater for the group. The Ngorongoro Crater is a  wonderful place – as  you descend more than 2000 feet on steep tracks cut into the crater wall to reach the open plains of the Crater floor;  this is the eighth wonders of the world.

The Ngorongoro Crater is undoubtedly the best place in Tanzania to view black rhino as well as large prides of lion that include magnificent black-manned males. It is also home to huge herds of wildebeest and zebra and many other plains game. An alkaline lake in the floor of the Crater provides a habitat for colorful flamingo and a variety of other water birds. Massive bull elephants feed in the swamps, some adorned with enormous tusks. We will have our  lunch at the hippo pool and later in the afternoon drive to the lodge for overnight.  Meals and Overnight at NGORONGORO WILDLIFE LODGE  – Full board basis ( FB )

Lake Eyasi is highly recommended for “ PURE CULTURAL SAFARIS” . Lake Eyasi is a soda lake located at the southwest corner of Ngorongoro Crater in the conservation area highlands. The lake is around 1050 km2 (400 square miles) and is 1040 m (3400 feet) above sea level. The main tributary is the Sibiti River and the secondary tributary is the Baray River. The Baray River has now become one of the primary onion growing regions for Tanzania and East Africa.

Other trees in this area include the umbrella thorn acacia and sand paper bush. The weather is nearly always very hot and intense, as the lake is located in floor of the Rift Valley, the oldest rift in the world. The rift is thought to have opened over 65 million years ago, shortly after dinosaurs became extinct.

Lake Eyasi’s water levels vary greatly between the rainy and dry seasons. During the dry season the lake is virtually nonexHaistent and animals are forced to share what water is left, which makes for easier wildlife viewing. The lake can get quite deep during the rainy season and it attracts hippos that like to cool off in its brackish waters . “ Including the Arusha National Park , Bird lovers will be in paradise here as well “ , as the lake attracts vast numbers of birds of all sizes and colors. Some main birds to be found here include: Africa spoonbill, flamingos, gray headed gulls, great white pelicans, pied avocet and yellow-billed storks. The main fish found in the lake are catfish and lungfish. MEALS AND OVERNIGHT AT  - TIDIGA LODGE OR SIMILAR  -  FB

The Hadzabe bushmen live in this region, as do the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the bushmen is worthwhile and they will graciously show you where and how they live and hunt. They subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting. Everything they use is made from local materials, including their bows which are strung with giraffe tendon and their arrows which are coated in lethal poison. Their language resembles that of Kalahari bushmen tribe (who were featured in the 1980 film ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’) with clicking noises used.

The Datoga and Mbulu people are pastoralists, like the Masai people.
The scenery of Lake Eyasi differs dramatically to that of the surrounding areas. Compared to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Highlands this area seems downright tropical. Palm trees border the lake and make homes for birds such as Fischer’s lovebird. In this day you will have to leave the the lodge at arround 05:00 or before that , ( you will be breafed on this by your local guide right there . You will have a special guide for this walk , he who speaks hadzabe language .

You will spend about four or five hours hunting with the bushmen , and later on you will visit other tribes .  Meals and Overnight at either Kisimangeda tented lodge / Or  Tindiga / or any other similar lodge depending on the availability .  Full board basis . There very few ( About 2 ) tented camp or lodges in total in this Area ,  I  will immediately hold rooms for the first who will show an interest of joining this safari .

Morning depart to the Lake Manyara National Park which looks greenish seasonal. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, large troops of Baboon, Great numbers of monkeys as well as famous tree-climbing lions. The soda lake contains varieties of algae which attracts the large flocks of flamingos. Set off in the afternoon visiting the famous agricultural and fresh produce market town of Mto wa Mbu. Overnight: Lake Manya HOTEL . FB

After breakfast served at the Ngorongoro  wildlife lodge,  We  will drive to Tarangire National Park, the third largest national park in Tanzania. There will be many opportunities for game viewing as we drive through the park. You will have to drive directly to the park for game viewing, and you will later join for a bush lunch in the park. Tarangire contains a range of ecosystems from grassland and woodlands in the north, to scrub and wetlands further south. The Tarangire river cuts through the park and empties into Lake Burunge in the west.  Later dinner and overnight at  Tarangire sopa lodge or  Safari lodge   -  Full board basis  - ( FB ).

Tarangire boasts one of the largest and most conspicuous elephant populations in East Africa. There are large family groups with many calves being born each year as the population continues to recover from the devastating effects of poaching in the eighties. You will see herds of elephants and experience close contact with the matriarchs, the babies, teenagers, and bulls. Your close contact will help you in understanding these incredible animals. Spend several hours surrounded by the herds and you cannot help but feel their wisdom. Tarangire is also known for its abundant baobab trees, most of which are over 400 years  old and the beautiful landscape.

You will be transferred to Arusha , Arrival for  Lunch and shopping .  Later transfer to the airport for your next destination .
