Lake Eyasi is highly recommended for “ PURE CULTURAL SAFARIS” . Lake Eyasi is a soda lake located at the southwest corner of Ngorongoro Crater in the conservation area highlands. The lake is around 1050 km2 (400 square miles) and is 1040 m (3400 feet) above sea level. The main tributary is the Sibiti River and the secondary tributary is the Baray River. The Baray River has now become one of the primary onion growing regions for Tanzania and East Africa.

Other trees in this area include the umbrella thorn acacia and sand paper bush. The weather is nearly always very hot and intense, as the lake is located in floor of the Rift Valley, the oldest rift in the world. The rift is thought to have opened over 65 million years ago, shortly after dinosaurs became extinct.

Lake Eyasi’s water levels vary greatly between the rainy and dry seasons. During the dry season the lake is virtually nonexHaistent and animals are forced to share what water is left, which makes for easier wildlife viewing. The lake can get quite deep during the rainy season and it attracts hippos that like to cool off in its brackish waters . “ Including the Arusha National Park , Bird lovers will be in paradise here as well “ , as the lake attracts vast numbers of birds of all sizes and colors. Some main birds to be found here include: Africa spoonbill, flamingos, gray headed gulls, great white pelicans, pied avocet and yellow-billed storks. The main fish found in the lake are catfish and lungfish.

The Hadzabe bushmen live in this region, as do the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the bushmen is worthwhile and they will graciously show you where and how they live and hunt. They subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting. Everything they use is made from local materials, including their bows which are strung with giraffe tendon and their arrows which are coated in lethal poison. Their language resembles that of Kalahari bushmen tribe (who were featured in the 1980 film ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’) with clicking noises used.

The Datoga and Mbulu people are pastoralists, like the Masai people.
The scenery of Lake Eyasi differs dramatically to that of the surrounding areas. Compared to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Highlands this area seems downright tropical. Palm trees border the lake and make homes for birds such as Fischer’s lovebird. In this day you will have to leave the the lodge at arround 05:00 or before that , ( you will be breafed on this by your local guide right there . You will have a special guide for this walk , he who speaks hadzabe language . You will spend about four or five hours hunting with the bushmen , and later on you will visit other tribes .  Meals and Overnight at either Kisimangeda tented lodge / Or  Tindiga / or any other similar lodge depending on the availability .

"Siringet" Meaning " Endless plains of the Serengeti National Park "

Although thousands of writers have used the power of the pen, to put down their ideas on paper, in many different ways about the Serengeti national park, their work may be summed up in a few words only: from the wildlife point of view "The Serengeti national park remains  the most unique area in the world”.
Serengeti – a name that seems to conjure up all that is wildest in wildest Africa is the oldest, second largest and best known national park in Tanzania. Admittedly, over the years it has been at the forefront of international research on various ecological monitoring programmes and other related disciplines leading to ecosystem dynamics as well as the development of conservation management. This be chunk of land with an area of 14, 763sq km was first protected in 1921 and it became the first national park in 1951.  Its Diamond jubilee was celebrated in January 1981.
The Serengeti national park is a host of many scenic features. Take the grassland savannah plains for instance; these extensive treeless short grassland plains are repository for calving wildebeest. From December to may each year, up to two million ungulates graze in the area. However, aprt from ungulates, the park has about 7,500 hyenas and 2,800 lions in a spectacular setting. In total, there are over 10,000 predators including cheetah and leopard etc. You will have meals and overnight at Lodge / Camping - FB
